The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) at Ysgol Harri Tudur/Henry Tudor School is a specialist centre for learners with ASC and more complex needs, providing wraparound care and educational support to ensure pupils and students achieve their full potential.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental disorder, which affects the way a person communicates with and relates to other people and the world around them. The way in which people are affected varies from one individual to another and by age and intellectual functioning. (ASD Wales 2010)
The current capacity is 24 but we do offer support to LRC pupils in sixth form. Nearly all pupils in the LRC access the National Curriculum via mainstream lessons and access interventions within the LRC. Pupils with ASD require highly individualised planning to meet their learning needs.
