Overall, the A level pass rate for 2018 is 99%, a 3% increase on 2017, with passes at A*-A at 21% and A*-B at 38%. The A*-C pass rate is 69%. Pembroke School are delighted that 97% of its final university cohort of Year 13 students achieved grades which secured them on courses at their first choice institutions.
Students’ impressive results have seen them realise their ambitions by accessing an eclectic range of higher education undergraduate studies, ranging from highly selective vocational courses such as Nursing, Police Sciences and Stage Management, to highly competitive academic courses such as Psychology and Computing Science, at some of the top universities in Scotland, England and Wales. The school is also very pleased to report that a record number of its students were awarded Unconditional acceptances to university this year.
There have been some outstanding individual performances from Year 13 pupils.
The overall pass rate at AS is 79%, with 89% of Year 12 pupils attaining at leastone pass grade at this level.
